SOME COMMON JAMAICAN TREES
This palm is often planted as an ornamental in Jamaica and is very often seen lining driveways. It is a native of Cuba and grows up to 25 m. The trunk is lightgrey, oftentimes with a swelling in the middle and the leaves are long, measuring up to 4 m. The fruits are small (about 1 cm), ovoid, purplebrown and grow in large numbers.
